Announcement // Adjustment to Aerobatics National Judging

Dear Red Bull Paper Wings community,

In accordance with term 6.1 in the Terms and Conditions for the Australian Red Bull Paper Wings event, Red Bull reserves the right to change the promotion rules and the Terms and Conditions from time to time and such changes will be made available on www.redbullpaperwings.com.

In recent days, we’ve encountered a technical issue regarding the running of the online voting mechanic, which impacts on the selection of the National Winner of Aerobatics.

As you know, the Aerobatics clause of the Rule Book stipulated a National Winner of Aerobatics will be decided by:
- 2 judges, who will assess each winner’s performance on construction, creativity and flight performance. Scored out of 10; and
- video online voting, with a maximum of 10 points (for 1000 likes) available.

Each Qualiflyer winner will end up with a score out of 30, with the Qualiflyer winner with the most points being named the national winner.

Due to the technical issue with the online video voting mechanic, we have made a modification to the rules which will now award the National Winner of Aerobatics via the following method:
- 3 judges, who will each assess one criteria (either construction, creativity or flight performance) and award a score out of 10.

The judges will consist of 2012 winner of the Aerobatics division; Nathan Tarlington, a representative from sponsor Qantas and a representative from Red Bull.

As originally planned, each Qualiflyer winner will end up with a score out of 30, with the Qualiflyer winner with the most points being named the national winner.

All Aerobatics Qualiflyer winners will be contacted to advise this change, via email addresses supplied during the registration process.

Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Red Bull Australia via enquiries@au.redbull.com.

The 3 National Finalists representing Australia at the Red Bull Paper Wings World Finals will be announced after lunch on Thursday 16th April.

Thankyou for your understanding and ongoing support of Red Bull Paper Wings.

Regards,
